WEIRD JUNGLE
ENGINEER PROFILES

Izzy Mcphee

Izzy McPhee is a junior mastering engineer based in Bristol, who is firmly rooted in the thriving and diverse music scene the city has to offer.

Growing up with a melting pot of musical genres being played at all times - from northern soul and motown, to new wave and brit pop - she developed a strong interest in the ever-evolving world of music from a young age. This has manifested in a continued love for music, and a keen interest in manipulating and enhancing audio through mastering. When mastering, her goal is to elevate the artist’s music to its greatest potential, highlighting and enhancing the character of each individual track. Izzy is also passionate about providing an accessible service to gender minorities in music.

Genres that Izzy loves include but are not limited to: Neo-Soul, Alternative and Electronic.

When not mastering, Izzy can be found DJ'ing, hosting her radio residency ‘Dot Wav’, which showcases her bass-heavy and left-field palette, or working as a studio assistant at Factory Studios.
