Through many years as a working musician and an almost obsessive, life-long love of music, Stephen Kerrison has developed a mastering skill set that has been trusted by hundreds of artists on labels like Moshi Moshi, Rock Action, Big Scary Monsters, Alcopop! Records, PRAH, Rocket Recordings and Human Worth.
Stephen’s background in underground music enables him to work empathetically alongside artists, engineers and producers, with full understanding and respect for their artistic processes and vision. Building from many years of personal experience he knows how much making a record means - and how much it takes - so treats every project and masters every song with nothing but the utmost care and deference. This approach has resulted in his reputation as a trusted mastering engineer growing steadily, leading to him working as part of the Weird Jungle creative mastering collective.
A champion of left-field music (but absolutely partial to a pop banger), Stephen’s thoughtful and musical approach to mastering puts him completely at home at the intersection between the creative and technical worlds.
